America has quite literally gone to "the Dogs"

Ironically, Jordon Harp published a fine Op-Ed in the DI on the same which, although does not detail all the misfortunes and misinformation (nor the most grievous) purported by the referendum' supporters, it does give enough reasons why this referendum should have been denied. Beyond the obvious financial severity of the times, Harp rightfully draws attention to the lack of any form of obligation on districts to lower property taxes-the prime snake oil argument the sellers have been coughing up. How long shall it be we wonder, when you will see us refer to this post and say "We told you so" when the school districts, led by their education association overlords tell you with crocodile tears that they have to raise property taxes anyway?

Laughing all the way to the bank.

The Daily Illini reports that the Sales Tax referendum has passed by a slim margin the second time round. Given the DI's track record, naturally, we must take their report with the highest skepticism until confirmed by a reliable news source. If true, however, it represents a severe disappointment to all good people of Champgain County. The money, as we learned by CLASS spokesperson on Sunday, can now be used for IFT and IEA agendas in addition to what the money was supposed to be used for. Meanwhile the taxpayers are stuck supporting the teacher rapists in our community and Unions that circle the wagons around them.
