America has quite literally gone to "the Dogs"

Not that the DI reported much on the scandal anyway. The sentences of Amberg and Janice Bradley never even made it in the pages.

The Daily Illini has conveniently revamped its web page interface and now there is no way to link to the publication to the teacher ICES results. What a coincidence...

Tomorrow's Teachers

On Friday, the Daily Illini printed its list of celebrated faculty based on ICES forms from the previous semester. Interestingly in the category of Education was none other than Gene Amberg. Amberg, at best failed to report and ignored calls for an investigation, at worst an accessory to statutory rape, will be familiar to anyone who has followed the disgraceful Jon Andrew White case that occurred at the Thomas Paine Elementary School in Urbana, where Amberg was Superintendent during the time of the sex scandal. A useful breakdown of the child molestation case can be found at TeacherTrash here.

In an act of impudence and ludicrous oversight, (which we have all now come to expect as a hallmark of the University of Illinois administration) and despite being found guilty for failing to make mandatory reports on suspect child molestation by teachers, Amberg nevertheless still holds a clinical faculty position at the UI. We wonder if this is something that White and his administration are aware of, or does this by now coincide with the type of educational practices and belief that they hold to?

See? It is about the Unions.

For several months the educationalists have been trying to ram the one-percent sales tax in Champaign County on us under the guise of improving school construction. Their original falsehood was the claimed caveat that construction and remodeling projects were to be the sole use. The Champgain News-Gazette has this article on Sunday here reports, as we have long suspected, that the principal/educationalist hack of CLASS has all but admitted that money can now be used to pay the teacher unions. Thanks for the more accurate assessment of the goals of this tax increase, Del Ryan. You have succeed in informing us about it since the previous time it was up for vote. And we are pleased to say that it has renewed our vigor to vote "No."
